Herbert Rex Trawick

Services for Herbert Rex Trawick, 72, Cairo, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Cairo. The Rev. Richard Soper and the Rev. Richard Trawick will officiate and interment is in Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Bob Maxwell, Wes Dozier, Jim Dozier, Junior Trawick, Dick Porter and Tom Long. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Butler, Mark Bishop, Jerry Joyner, Dale MacKenzie, Carroll Hopkins, Raymond McKinney, Ralph Daughtry, Henry Andrews, Jeff Stockwell and Jack Thrasher. Mr. Trawick died Aug. 18 at his residence. Born July 19, 1933 in Seminole County, he was a son of the late Willie Jay and Nuna Belle Dozier Trawick. He was married for 48 years to Carolyn Jones Trawick. He served in the United States Navy for four years and returned to Seminole County a short time before moving to Tallahassee, Fla. where he was a route salesman for Borden Dairy for 30 years prior to his disability. He and his wife moved to Cairo in 1995 to be nearer their family. He was a member of Cairo First United Methodist Church. He took much pride in his yard and vegetable garden which he loved to share with family and friends. He was very active in horseback riding and was a champion barrel racer for several years with his horse Nip. He trained many horses for friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jones Trawick of Cairo; daughters, Angela Trawick Jackson of Cairo, Sherri Trawick Andrews and husband, Tim of Cairo; son, Michael Rex Trawick and wife, Becky of Havana, Fla.; sister, Evelyn Trawick Maxwell of Shalimar, Fla.; brother, Robert Garner Trawick of Shalimar; grandchildren, Thomas Carl Jackson of Cairo, Ryan Timothy Andrews of Cairo, Chad Allen Andrews of Cairo, Michael Lance Trawick, Lucas Franklin Trawick, Victoria Nalea Trawick and Mikayla Jade Trawick of Havana. Memorials may be made to Cairo First United Methodist Church, 318 S. Broad St., Cairo, Ga. 39828. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. — Clark Funeral Home



Rosetta Williams Graham, 55, Adel, died Friday at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville. Local survivors include her son, Eugene Graham; daughters, Fannie Giddens, Teresa Spicer, Linda Graham, Elaine Graham, Valerie Hadley; sisters, Ora Bell Tyler, Diane Jones, Lessie Mae Patterson, Gloria Brockington, Jessie Brockington; brothers, Cleveland Brockington, Robert Williams and David Williams. — Hadley’s Funeral Home



James Thurmond McKee, 34, Cairo, died Friday in Tallahassee, Fla. Local survivors include his wife, Martha B. McKee; children, Krystal, Kristy and Kelly McKee; and aunt, Ruby Shanholtzer all of Cairo. — Clark Funeral Home
