Katherine Jane Ivy Van Brunt

Services for Katherine Jane Ivy Van Brunt, 65, are at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. John Paul Hassick will officiate and interment is in Cairo Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Matthew Harry, Travis Martin and Rex Martin. Mrs. Van Brunt died Thursday, Dec. 20 in Thomasville. Born in Cedartown, she was a daughter of the late John and Vera Wilson Ivy. She was married to Wesley Van Brunt who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1993. She was employed by Ithaca in Cairo in quality control and attended Gordon Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include nephew, Roy Max Hester of Thomasville; niece, Susie Willcoxon of Degraff, Ohio; sister, Lillian McFall of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Gordon Osborn of Cairo; grandchildren, Misty Harry, April Hester both of Thomasville; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Harry of Thomasville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. — Clark Funeral Home



Joy Ellen Pearce Voegtle

Services for Joy Ellen Pearce Voegtle, 48, Sylvester, are at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Bruce Smith and the Rev. Al Wilbourn will officiate and interment is in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Donnie Burchfield, Samuiel Walker, Steve Anderson, Tommy Glover, Mike Lindsey, Tommy Connell, Greg Lindsey and Stance Connell. Mrs. Voegtle died Wednesday, Dec. 19 in Cocoa, Fla. Born Aug. 25, 1953 in Swindon, England, she was the daughter of Charlotte Eloise Pearce of Sylvester and the late Winford Pearce. She worked with the Worth County Department of Family and Children Services. Survivors include husband, Robert Lee Voegtle of Sylvester; daughter, Heather Voegtle of Columbia, S.C.; son, Robert Lee Voegtle Jr. of Sylvester; her mother, Charlotte Eloise Pearce of Sylvester; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Tammy Pearce of Cairo, Ronnie Pearce of Cairo, William David and Cheryl Pearce of Leesburg; nieces, Amy Pearce Harrell of Whigham, Shelley Lynn Pearce of Cairo, Lindsey Frakes, Haley Frakes both of Leesburg; and a nephew, Bud Pearce of Cairo. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. — Clark Funeral Home
