Linda Larue Arrington
Services for Linda Larue Arrington, 51, of Thomasville will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 18, 2004 at Willowhead Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Silas Brinson and the Rev. Estelle Arrington will officiate and interment will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Milton Jackson, David D. Ross, Virgil Murray and Ronnie Gardner. Arrington died Wednesday, Sept. 15 at her residence. Born Nov. 20, 1952 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late Henderson and Amelia Williams Arrington. She was a 1970 graduate of Douglass High and a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Pavo. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cynthia Arrington Coleman and Eddie Coleman, both of Thomasville. Other survivors include grandson Denoris R. Coleman of Thomasville; granddaughters Alexis N. Coleman and Alexia N. Coleman; sisters Nina Jackson of Pavo, Christine Byrd of Miami, and Gloria Arrington of Oak Park Mich.; brothers Samuel (Hazel) Arrington of Detroit, Mich., Julian Arrington of Miami, Fla., Talmadge Arrington of Oak Park, Mich., Winston (Frances) Arrington of Detroit Mich., the Rev. Estelle (Tiny) Arrington and Jeremiah (Betty) Arrington, both of Thomasville; an aunt, Viola Jackson of Pavo; dear, devoted friend Luther Osborn of Thomasville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lenoris A. Coleman. Viewing is Friday from 2 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at the Church on Saturday. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
Thelma Young Goodman
Services for Thelma Young Goodman, 74, of Thomasville are at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004 at the House of Joy. The Rev. Earl Brooks will officiate and interment will be at Browning Cemetery in Thomas County. Active pallbearers will be friends of the family. Goodman died Friday, Sept. 10, at Archbold Medical Center. She was born March 3, 1930, in Grady County and was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Mae Young. She was a house wife, attended Douglass High School, and was a member of the House of Joy. She was married to Amos Goodman, Jr., who survives. Other survivors include great grandson Terrell Kenyattes Young; great niece Peggy Renita Young Malone (Calvin); stepdaughters Bettie Spencer (Jackie) and Dolores Spencer (Willie Frank); great-great grandsons Terrell Keyattes Young Jr. and Kentrez Young; great-great nephew Baccari Shontrez Young; niece Juanita Mullins; nephew Johnny L. Young (Mary); brothers Frank Young (Alma) and Arthur Young; aunts Fannie Young of Beachton and Rosa Stewart of Wildwood, Fla.; step-grandsons Howard Edwards (Angelie) and Ronald Edwards (Kimi), both of Columbus, Timothy Edwards of Fort Bragg, N.C. , Antonio Goodman of Thomasville, Duane Goodman of Philadelphia, Pa.; stepson Charles Goodman of Philadelphia; stepdaughter Mable Tompkins of New York; niece Jill Diaz (Sean) of Tallahassee Fla.; a host of other great nieces, nephews, great-great grandchildren and cousins. Viewing will be Friday at the Funeral Home from 2 to 8:30 p.m. and at the Church on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the services. Tericia ‘Bootsy’ Ross
Services for Tericia (Bootsy) Ross, 56, of Thomasville are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004 at Good Shepherd Church. The Rev. Willie J. Mitchell, Jr. will officiate and interment will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Active pallbearers will be Willie Simmons, La’ Deldrick D. Williams, Kenneth Cody, Kenneth Thomas, Alvin Fogle, and Al Fann. Honorary pallbearers will be John Howard, Ralph Ross, Jr., and John Blackshear.
Ross died Saturday, Sept. 11 at Grady County General Hospital. Born May 15, 1948 in Thomasville, worked as a private duty sitter. She attended Douglass High School and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She is survived by her daughter, Tamiko Ingram and her mother, the Rev. Jimmie Lee Mitchell, both of Thomasville. Other survivors include brothers Jimmy Mitchell, the Rev. Willie J. Mitchell Jr., Dr. David Mitchell, Edward Mitchell, Dennis Mitchell; sisters Harriett McGarrah, Dorothy Cain, Carolyn Lawson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. with a wake at the church from 6 to 7 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Francis Tramel
Services for Francis Tramel will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004 at First Seventh Day Adventist Church. The Rev. Michael Ross, Sr. will officiate and interment will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Rick Tramel, Roscoe Tramel, Jerome Flanders, Keith Morrow, Eugene Morrow, Jerry Monroe. Tramel died Friday, Sept. 10, at Archbold Medical Center. Born Nov. 7, 1958 in Thomasville his was the son of the late George C. Tramel and Willie L. Tramel. He worked as a carpenter, attended Thomasville High School, and was a member of Westend Seventh Day Adventist Church in Atlanta. He is survived by his wife, Donna Tramel, daughters Monique, Katura Tamar, and Angel Marie Tramel, and son Francis Job Tramel, all of Jacksonville. Other survivors include special friend Barbara Jean Taylor of Thomasville; sisters Ruby Tramel Wilson, Elizabeth Tramel Harris, Georgia Tramel Bellamy (Taylor) and Thelma Woodson, all of Atlanta, Frankie Tramel of Roanoke Va., Delma Exalus of Jacksonville Fla.; nieces Pamela Wilson, Angela Bouchie, Tijuana Wade, Vanessa Newkirk, and Monica Tramel of Atlanta, Nickie Woodson and Stephanie Grant of Monticello, Fla. Machelle Tramel of Miami, and Yolanda Wade of Jacksonville, Fla.; nephews Dwight, Michael, Enoch, Eric, Curtis Jr., Cedric and Christopher; aunts Mamie Monroe of Thomasville, and Mary Green of Atlanta; uncles Joshua Tramel and James Tramel of Huntsville, Ala. and Oscar Bryant of Tallahassee, Fla.; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
