Maedee E. Miller
Graveside services for Maedee E. Miller, 81, Tallahassee, Fla., were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Pine Forest Cemetery in Cairo. She died Sunday, May 15, in Decatur County, Ga. She was a native of Cairo, a longtime resident of Tallahassee and a lifelong resident of the south Georgia and north Florida area. In addition to her work as a beautician, she also worked for several years at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as a patient services representative. She was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy WAVES. She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Miller-Dolan of Lake Seminole; two sons, Tyrone Miller of Tallahassee, Ronnie Edwards of Sylvester; a sister, Idaouise Irvin of Newton; seven grandchildren, Michaeline R. Dolan-Sheffield, Michael C. Dolan Jr., Mary Ann Dolan, Matthew J. Miller, Christina Edwards, Jill Edwards, Christopher Edwards; four great-grandchildren, Blake Sheffield, Brandon Sheffield, Savanna Sheffield and Lillian Rozier. She was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband, Dewey Cecil Miller. — Bevis Funeral Home
Theron Emory Rehberg
Services for Theron Emory Rehberg, Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Neely and Bishop Charles King will officiate and interment is in Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Rehberg died May 17 at Hospitality Care Center in Thomasville. Born May 23, 1923 in Thomas County, he was a son of the late Emory Eugene Rehberg and Harmon Elizabeth Elwell. On Aug. 5, 1966 in Thomasville, he married Edith Willis Rehberg of Thomasville. He was a lifetime resident of Thomas County and retired after 35 years with City of Thomasville Utilities Department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his wife, Edith Willis Rehberg of Thomasville; two daughters, Connie R. Rehberg and husband, David of Thomasville, Dianne Schrock and husband Levi of Norman Park; grandchildren, Jeffery Rehberg and wife Patti, Alice Cobb and husband Terry, Micajah “Caje” Roberts and wife Melissa, Angela Culler and husband, William and John Roberts; 10 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Margaret Newell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Roudon Roberts of Thomasville, Neil Roberts of Douglas; two sisters, Lois Freeman of Fitzgerald and Myrtice Sasser of Marietta. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m., today until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Woodrow ‘Woody’ Wilson
Services for Woodrow (Woody) Wilson, 62, Thomasville, are at 1 p.m., May, 20, 2005 at Clifford Temple CME Church, Thomasville. The Rev. Alvin Williams, pastor of Clifford Temple CME Church, will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville. Active pallbearers are Lamar Armster, Frank Clark, Solomon Cooney, Carlton Simmons, Kenneth Smith, Ronald Thompson all of Thomasville. Honorary pallbearers are stewards and trustees of Clifford Temple CME Church. Mr. Wilson died May 14 at his residence. Born Oct. 6, 1942 in Thomasville, he was a son of Katie Bell Wilson and the late Stephen Wilson Jr. He attended Douglass High School, was a member of Clifford Temple CME Church and was a laborer. Survivors include his mother, Katie Bell Wilson of Thomasville; sister, Thelma Wilson Jones of Thomasville; brother, Ronald Scruggs of Thomasville; nephew, Tommie Jones Jr. (Sabrenna) of Thomasville, nieces, Kimberly Jones, Monica Jones both of Tallahassee, Fla.,; great-nephew, Jeremy Jones of Thomasville; great-nieces, Justice Jones of Thomasville, Kaitlyn Jones, Kaija Anderson both of Tallahassee; aunts, Clara Wilson, Corinne Wilson, Rosetta Carr, Susie Hayes, Mae Etta Armster, Ida Lee Scruggs all of Thomasville, Mary Scruggs of Miami, Fla., aunt, Rosa Lee Stiles of San Diego, Calif.; uncles, Robert Hayes of Thomasville, Frank Scruggs, Hansell Scruggs both of Miami; loving and devoted companion, Annie Hutchins of Thomasville; and a host of relatives and friends.
