THOMASVILLE —
The host of TV’s “One More Cast” will be fishing for Jesus followers on Thursday.
Shaw Grigsby is the guest speaker for Thursday’s 9th annual Wild Game Supper at First Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
“We wanted an outdoorsman to come speak because we feel like he can relate to the men in Thomasville,” said Don McMillan, First Baptist Church associate pastor of median adults and administration.
The event provides a chance to allow people to come together to talk about how Jesus has changed their lives.
Grigsby, an elite pro angler, will share fishing tips, personal experiences and the changes he has had in his life by knowing Jesus.
“It’s a day of fellowship,” McMillan said. “We spend all day cooking dinner, sharing stories and getting to know each other.”
The event draws church attenders and the unchurched. Previous suppers have drown between 800-1,100 guests..
“One year we had about 200 First Baptist Church members, three to four hundred members from other churches and the rest were people who weren’t affiliated with any church,” McMillan said.
First Baptist Church will be serving deer meat, duck, rabbit, wild hog, wild turkey breasts and other exotic big game.
To donate meat. contact Larry Ridolfi at 227- 0857 or Bill Carson 221-3960.
