THOMASVILLE —
A reported methamphetamine delivery to Ochlocknee netted confiscation of the drug and two meth labs found in a truck bed.
Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents learned Richard Billy Castillo would deliver methamphetamine to an Ochlocknee business and put the location under surveillance.
Agents were watching from inside and outside the business when Castillo arrived in a vehicle fitting the description officers had received.
“The black truck pulled into the parking lot, circled and parked,” said Kevin Lee, narcotics/vice commander.
Two plastic wraps of methamphetamine were found on the drivers seat.
“Castillo, the driver, had dropped it on the seat,” Lee explained.
Two meth labs were found in plastic trash bags in the truck bed.
Castillo, 28, 450A Harper Road, Cairo, is charged with methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute, manufacturing methamphetamine and unlawful possession of ephedrine.
The pickup truck, which belonged to a Castillo relative, was returned to the owner.
Castillo was released from the Thomas County Jail on a $22,100 bond.
