THOMASVILLE —
Little girls missing from their home near Meigs since Thursday were returned to their mother Friday afternoon.
The children — ages two and four months — were found in Colquitt County by Thomas County Sheriff’s Office investigators Friday afternoon.
The children’s mother had a restraining order on their father, but allowed him into her home.
“She got home yesterday, and he was gone with the kids,” said Lt. Tim Watkins, sheriff’s office chief investigator.
The woman left for work at 6:15 a.m. Thursday and returned home at 9 p.m. to find the children gone.
The search for the children led to Colquitt County after it was learned the father was selling scrap metal there Thursday.
Watkins said it has not been determined whether the father, Ronald Ware, 27, will be charged.
