THOMASVILLE —
he black-and-white Cadillac being sought in a drug case was stopped by Coolidge police. The suspect was in the passenger seat.
The vehicle was believed to be transportation for Donald Berry, also known as Bowlegs, 45, Varnedoe Street.
Narcotics agents had learned Berry would be in possession of crack cocaine and possibly headed to Moultrie.
Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents set up surveillance at the north bypass and U.S. 319 North. Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Coolidge police were told to be on the lookout for the Cadillac.
A search of Berry and the car produced numerous pieces of crack cocaine in a plastic bag under the hat on Berry’s head.
Some $300 in cash was found in the suspect’s pocket.
Berry is charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute.
