THOMASVILLE —
Children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse, neglect or have witnessed a violent crime need love and support during the healing process.
The Giving Tree project for The Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center is designed to show support of the children and their families after their cases have left the legal world.
The project’s goal is to make the youngsters’ Christmas special.
A child’s size, wish list and other information may be obtained by contacting Jackla Dean, Treehouse director and forensic interviewer, at 977-1639 or at jackla.treehouse@gmail.com.
Each child will receive a minimum of two outfits, one jacket and three items from their wish list, Dean said. Additional items are permitted.
Each child also will receive a duffel bag monogrammed with the initial of their first name.
See Wednesday's edition for more details.
