THOMASVILLE —
A Thomas County woman suffering from cancer and receiving chemotherapy has one less thing to be concerned about.
Barbara Bass realized at the Rose Festival Parade last week that her ring was missing.
Bass and family members were standing n the 200 block of Smith Avenue watching the parade, when Bass overheard someone say something about a lost ring.
The Grady County woman who picked up the ring read a story in Friday’s Times-Enterprise about Bass’ plight and contacted her.
“She said, ‘I have your ring. I want you to come get it,’ “ Bass told the Times-Enterprise Friday.
Bass and the woman met, and the ring is back safely on Bass’ finger — but not for long.
See Saturday's edition for more details.
