THOMASVILLE —
A 33-year-old Thomasville man has been charged with burglarizing a church where he was previously employed.
New Covenant Church, 48, Patterson Still Spur, was burglarized between Friday and Saturday morning.
“More than $300 in cash and several personal checks were taken,” said Capt. Steven Jones, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.
Timothy James Edwards was quickly developed as a suspect, Jones said.
Checks taken in the burglary were recovered, along with a key used to gain entry to the church.
