THOMASVILLE —
Georgia Department of Natural Resources rangers on the lookout for nature-related violations encountered a different type of crime on Egg and Butter Road.
The rangers were on patrol when they saw a blue pickup truck with no tag parked on the side of the road.
“The rangers could tell the driver was doing something in his lap,” said Kevin Lee, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division commander.
The man appeared to put something on the floor of the vehicle.
Lee said the man, Cory Allen Slusher, was shaking and extremely nervous.
Slusher told rangers he had methamphetamine with him for personal use.
“It was an active shake-and-bake meth lab on the floor,” Lee explained. “We were familiar with Slusher because of past dealings.”
