THOMASVILLE —
Lawmen found marijuana and drug paraphernalia Tuesday at an apartment in a Thomasville public housing project.
Following up on a tip that Allen Lamar Tillman, 26, was selling marijuana at a Cherokee Street housing project, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents executed a search warrant at Apartment 129B.
“When we entered the residence, the suspect ran,” said Kevin Lee, narcotics/vice division commander.
Agents found Tillman near a toilet in an upstairs bathroom. Nearby was a plastic bag of loose marijuana.
“Marijuana was on the floor. Marijuana was floating in the toilet,” Lee said.
In a bedroom, officers found more marijuana and digital scales. Digital scales also were found in the kitchen.
Tillman is charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute and marijuana possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a public housing project.
“We have dealt with him in the past,” Lee said, in reference to the suspect.
