New business gives kids place to frolic

THOMASVILLE — Do your kids need a place to jump into some fun?

The doors to Leap Frogz Party and Play, located at 336 W. Jackson St., opened on Nov. 16. The children’s paradise is fun and safe for youngsters 12 and under.

Five inflatables that include a slide, attached obstacle courses, a toddlers-only area and a five-in-one combo fill up the 7,000 square foot facility. It also features party rooms, free WiFi, televisions and an area for adults.

Michelle Williamson brought her children to Leap Frogz for the first time on Tuesday.

“I think Leap Frogz is great,” Williamson said. “We love it. Our kids love it. It lets them burn off some energy.”

Isabella Grace Ward, 5, was enjoying her first time at Leap Frogz jumping around from inflatable to inflatable with a big smile on her face.

“I like it because it is fun,” Ward said. “I like going down the slide because I go fast.”

For the past 18 years, Ben Schnake, owner of Leap Frogz, has been in the fun center industry. After selling his Valdosta business, Jungle Jym’s, in March, Schnake made the move to Thomasville.

truffle

While truffles lie beneath the surface waiting to be discovered, finding the fungi is difficult. Since they are generally located an inch or two beneath the soil, pecan farmers have had to rake the dirt in hopes of finding one.
