Groundbreaking for a $5 million building on the MacIntyre Park Middle School (MPMS) campus is set for Thursday morning.
The MPMS sixth- through eighth-grade program will move into the new structure, which will face East Jackson Street.
The Thursday ground-breaking ceremony is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on the East Jackson Street side of the school.
The Scholars Academy will move into the existing MPMS building that fronts on Glenwood Drive, said Sabrina Boykins-Everett, Thomasville City Schools superintendent.
