THOMASVILLE —
A dog who was near death Wednesday morning is receiving much-needed veterinary care and will go to a loving home as soon as he recovers.
A little after 7 Wednesday morning, someone contacted Donnie Baggett, Thomas County fleet manager, at his office about a dog that appeared to have been struck by a car on Woodruff Farm Road off U.S. 19 South.
Baggett, whose county government office is near the site, found the dog lying in a ditch.
