THOMASVILLE —
A closed sign hung on the front door of a restaurant on this town’s main drag Saturday morning. The East Harris Street eatery’s founder and owner was preoccupied with being honored by his hometown.
Restaurateur Wayne Cooper was grand marshal of the Peacock Day Parade, which rolled past his business a little after 11 a.m. Saturday.
On Friday, Cooper said he would have to close the Burger Shack because of his participation in the parade.
