THOMASVILLE —
Thomasville’s main post office will remain at 404 N. Broad St., with the Thomasville City Board of Education as landlord.
Transfer of the federal building housing the post office to the school board is complete, and occupancy by school system administrative offices is anticipated for no later than January 2013.
The postal service will pay the school system $7,500 a month for the space, with the tenant to pay for utilities used by the post office. The lease is for five years.
