THOMASVILLE —
The Toastmasters would like to extend an invitation to the people of Thomasville — an invitation to develop their leadership and public speaking skills.
Toastmasters, a non-profit educational organization, works to break the frightening, anxiety filled feeling of speaking in front of audiences.
“The number one fear in the world is speaking in front of audiences,” said Walter Marria, a three-year member of Toastmasters in Tallahassee, Fla. “Toastmasters improves communication, leadership qualities and self-development.”
Marria is opening the doors to a Toastmasters club in Thomasville.
In the 1980s, Thomasville had its own Toastmaters club — the Rose City Toastmasters.
