THOMASVILLE —
A woman died, and another was injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Ga. 3.
The woman who died was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital.
The identity of the deceased and injured had not been released Sunday morning, pending notification of relatives.
The vehicle was traveling South on Ga. 3 about 9 a.m., just north of Rook Road, when the driver attempted to negotiate a curve. The driver appears to have lost control on wet pavement, and the vehicle overturned several times, said Capt. Steven Jones, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.
The woman who died was ejected and was dead on arrival at Archbold.
Jones said several passersby stopped and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the ejected passenger until emergency medical help arrived.
Thomasville Post 12 Georgia State Patrol troopers and sheriff’s office deputies were still at the scene midmorning Sunday.
The crash will be investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
