THOMASVILLE —
An arrest after an undercover drug buy would have taken place a lot sooner has the suspect not run.
Acting on a tip about a street-level drug dealer working in the Green Street/North Stephens Street area, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division agents monitored the area.
An undercover agent purchased crack cocaine from Dominic Clark, 23, 1228 N. Stephens St., at Martin Luther King Drive and Green, said Kevin Lee, narcotics/vice commander.
Within seconds, agents approached the suspect. Clark ran, with agents in pursuit on foot.
After chasing the suspect through woods, officers caught Clark.
The suspect, who also was in possession of marijuana, is charged with sale of cocaine and misdemeanor marijuana possession.
