THOMASVILLE —
On Wednesday night during halftime of the annual Powder Puff flag football game between the junior and senior girls, Brookwood School Headmaster Mike Notaro placed the traditional Warrior feathered headdress on senior Carter Reed, the 2012 Warrior Spirit Chief.
For the past decade Brookwood’s tradition during homecoming week is for students to elect a member of the senior class as the chief of the all-male Warrior Spirit Court.
Amy Stalvey, who supervises homecoming activities as the sponsor of the Student Government Association, said, “All members of the court were chosen by their classmates and represented them well.”
Reed, the son of Dr. Sandra Reed and David Reed, has attended Brookwood for 14 years. He is the captain of the varsity football team, president of the Student Government Association, a three-year member of the Honor Council, and has been on the varsity basketball and golf teams for four years. In Thomasville, he is active in Young Life and the Music and Drama Troupe.
