THOMASVILLE —
It was a night of laughter and fun. Some of the best Florida State medical students came together Tuesday night to celebrate another year of studying.
For the past five years, Joe and Theresa Brown have hosted an annual event at their home that welcomes the students who are studying at Archbold Memorial Hospital, along with some members of the Archbold staff.
Frances Parker, president of the Archbold Foundation, coordinates the event through the hospital.
“Joe and Theresa Brown thought of this idea. The Browns wanted a way to welcome the FSU medical students who are studying in Thomasville. Mrs. Brown thought it would be nice to have them in an informal setting to meet one another, to meet the members on the board of trustees and to have a chance to visit outside of the medical arena,” Parker said.
The night was filled with appetizers, desserts and conversation. Students mingled with staff members throughout the Browns’ home.
