THOMASVILLE —
Thomasville police are investigating more than 30 burglaries citywide during the past month.
Some 34 burglaries have occurred at residences and business and at a church.
The burglaries are not in a pattern, nor are they occurring in any particular part of the city.
A burglar made himself at home after forcing his way through a locked door at a residence in the 1500 block of East Washington Street.
The intruder ate and took a shower. Sheets and pillow cases were removed from a closet and placed on a bed.
“It looks like they sat down and relaxed,” said Lt. Eric Hampton, Thomasville Police Department public information officer.
