Brookwood boys win opener

THOMASVILLE — The Brookwood boys basketball team (1-0) won its opener on Monday, defeating Aucilla Christian 42-37.

Rand Malone paced the Warriors with 16 points. Jake Piazza scored 10, and Brad Kinni and Tyler Thompson each chipped in with six points.

Brookwood’s junior varsity also won 30-17. John Stauffer led the JV with 13 points. Chase Flowers added seven.
