The area wrestling championships were held Saturday in Lee County. Thomas County Central was well represented in Class AAAA. Nick Glass was champion in the 189-pound weight class. Eric Dodson was champion in the 145-pound weight class. Connor Bennett was second in the 152-class. Jalen Rauls was second in 125. Zach Shiver finished second in the 285-pound class. As a team, Central finished fifth. Central will travel to the state sectionals at Upson-Lee next weekend.
