THOMASVILLE —
Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.
At least, that’s the case for Thomasville High senior Tyree Mitchell.
The senior football standout made his collegiate future official on Wednesday when he signed a letter-of-intent with the Georgia Military Bulldogs.
Thomasville coach Richie Marsh expressed excitement for Mitchell and discussed what made Mitchell a prospect GMC was looking for.
“He’s got the size that the schools are looking for,” Marsh said. “He’s very strong. He plays with a lot of passion.”
As for what attracted Mitchell to Georgia Military, it’s simple: Discipline.
“It’ll be better for me to get some discipline in my life because I’ve got a son,” Mitchell said. “I need to grow up and be a father and raise him good.
“I know I’ll get a little discipline (there) plus it’ll help me get to the college that I want to so I can set an example for my son.”
