There could be a shootout at Thomas County Stadium.
Let me correct myself. There will be a shootoutbetween Colquitt County and Thomas County Central.
The Packers will invade Thomas County Stadium with a pass-happy offense and two talented running backs that could be a handful for the Yellow Jackets’ defense. On the other hand, Colquitt County’s defense was gashed last week by South Panola, Miss. South Panola averaged almost 300 pounds per lineman, so getting gashed is understandable. The Yellow Jackets, though, can move the ball on the Packers, if they avoid fumbles. They did last week against the Thomasville Bulldogs. Unfortunately, one or two could cost the Yellow Jackets tonight.

Cairo at Bainbridge
A big test awaits both teams at Centennial Field. Cairo had a cupcake with Drew last week. Bainbridge had a tough time with rival Early County.
Can Cairo contain Bainbridge’s veer offense? It has in the past and will again tonight.

Pelham at Thomasville
Thomasville fans shouldn’t be fooled by the Pelham Hornets. They are not the same Hornets that lost 31 straight several years ago. Jim Morrell has the Hornets playing with confidence, following a 5-6 season a year ago. Pelham may have bit off a little more than it can chew tonight, though. The Bulldogs are mad, hungry and angry, following a tough loss to the Yellow Jackets.

Brookwood at Sherwood
If last week’s loss to Southland is any indication, Brookwood has made strides. Are they enough to propel the Warriors past Sherwood tonight? I don’t think so.
