THOMASVILLE —
Sparked by a 23-8 run in the fourth quarter Tuesday night, the Thomas County Central Lady Yellow Jackets pulled away from the Lowndes Vikettes for a 55-36 win in the season opener for both teams.
The game was close for three quarters, as Central led 32-28 heading into the fourth quarter. Ashley O’Neal powered Central in the final period, scoring 11 of her 13 points. O’Neal also had a key putback that gave Central a 38-28 lead.
Kaeci Guyton led the Lady Jackets with 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Erica Harvey added 14 for Central.
