Split decision

Decisive game in Warner Robins-Central series to be held today

THOMASVILLE — Two games weren’t enough to decide the Region 1-AAAA playoff series between Warner Robins and Thomas County Central.

The decisive tilt, with a state playoff berth on the line, will be held today at 2 p.m.

The two teams split their games on Friday with Central cruising to a 9-0 win in game one. Warner Robins responded with an 8-4 victory in game two.

Central scored five runs in the first inning of game one and cruised to an easy win.

“We came out and had a great game, offensively and defensively,” Central coach Chad Parkerson said. “Kyle (Riley) pitched awesome. I was real excited, real proud of them that first game.”

Riley scattered five hits and one walk, while striking out four.
