Rant & Rave March 14

“Many thanks to the person who found my debit card at the gas station and returned it to Thomasville National Bank. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated.”

“The city rose beds are a joke, no, a disgrace.”

“The people who handle news coverage for the Times-Enterprise are not supposed to take a position if the government is corrupt or not. Their job is to cover the news in an unbiased manner.”

“I can’t believe the commissioners refused to bring mud bogging to Thomas County. This is revenue we could use, and there is nothing around for young people to do. We need more family things for entertainment.”

“To Ms. Lovejoy and Ms. Sewell: I’m against Obama’s health care plan, but I do admire you for getting out there and supporting what you think is right. But I have a question. If John McCain was the President and he was pushing this health care bill, would you still be out there?”

“Congratulations to Central for its superior rating at the band festival in Cairo. Mr. Mayhall did a great job. Congratulations to Cairo and Thomasville. You all did fantastic jobs.”

“That so-called good insurance that (teachers) costs me $280 a month, and it doesn’t pay that good, either.”

“We keep your paper at the local bar and almost everyone who reads it says, ‘There is never anything worth reading in this paper.’ Maybe that should tell you something.”

“How much more unconstitutional can they be? The Democrats want to pass a bill that will completely change our country without it being voted on!”
