Rant & Rave Dec. 2, 2009

“When are the police going to enforce the no left turn at Crawdaddys? When it's too late?”

“Herschel Walker did not play four years at the University of Georgia. He left after three years to turn pro. If he had stayed his record would be untouchable. That was his personal choice.”

“Thomas Jefferson never said those words — it is a changed, out-of-context part of a much longer quote. As usual, the Times-Enterprise is happy to print distorted, imaginary history researched in spam e-mails and bizzare Web sites. The founders of this nation would no doubt be shamed by your laziness, ignorance and arrogance.”

“People, wake up, the writing is on the wall. Obama promised change and you got it. Get ready to lose freedoms that we have struggled for so long to attain. So so sad.”

“Mr. Eckberg, domestic terrorism is not new. Remember Tim Mcveigh, the Olympic bomber, the Unabomber or the D.C. sniper? Your argument looses validity when you consider the broad cross section of our society these terrorists are part of.”

“Hang up your cell phone and pay attention to your driving before you have a wreck and kill someone. Haven’t you ever heard of having a Bluetooth device?”

“I hope I never hear the names of Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow again.”

“The lights on Falcon Drive are beautiful. Thank you for putting them up. I appreciate the effort you put in to making it so beautiful when we ride by and see them.”

“Have drivers never heard of turning right on red after stopping? Some people just sit there and wait even when no one is coming and there’s no sign posted telling them they can’t turn. Must be nice not to have any where to go.”

It was an honest mistake by a rookie staffer
