Rant & Rave Nov. 19

“Most state employees are either taking pay cuts or being furloughed, but we give our State Court judge a raise. Come on, commissioners!”

“Some of the smartest people I ever knew were Democrats, God rest their souls. What happened?”

“Way to go, Mr. President. Thanks for taking back my tax refund. Do you have any idea what you’re doing?”

“Commissioners Mays, Beverly and Rehberg, how can you not give county employees who work a raise but yet give one to a judge who does nothing but sit all day long. That is OK. Election time comes around every four years. We can't afford you three anymore.”

“Obama has run up the U.S. deficit more than all the other presidents combined! If that is how he ‘fixes a mess,’ we are in trouble. The unethical and unconstitutional behavior of this administration and the Congress is killing this country. Those of you who support Obama are going to wake up one day in a country with a standard of living much like Mexico. That's how much trouble we are in.”

“A pay raise for the State Court judge? What about a raise for the deputy sheriffs who haven’t had a raise in two years and provide defendants for the judge to preside over?”

“If you are a pessimist, it's a great time to be alive!”

“I think there ought to be an age limit on having to pay school taxes.”

“The Senate must not pass a health reform bill. Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss will do the right thing, but it wouldn’t hurt to write the conservative Democrats to try to change their minds.”

“It may take a few years to realize it, but President Obama is making this country a better place for everyone.”
