Rant & Rave Nov. 12

“Have we become that ignorant in Thomasville? People don't stop when making right turns. People cross over in front of you to park on the wrong side of the road. They cross over the double yellow line, etc."

“The Fort Hood tragedy is a result of political correctness. If we didn't have these Muslims in these positions and people weren't afraid to question them and ask them about their motives, we wouldn't be in this situation. Political correctness is destroying America."

“Since when is our government's job to help citizens buy cars, houses and health care? We need to stop this. We are being taxed to death."

“Why are we spending tax dollars to refurbish the old courthouse when we have a new one? Let's sell it."

“What a sight for our visitors to see. We are hosting two high school football playoff games this weekend and our major highways into the city look like a jungle or a war zone. It is a disgrace. We've always been considered the heart of southwest Georgia. Right now we are the armpit."

“The Atlanta and Tallahassee newspapers ran the story of the Fort Hood incident on their front pages. They evidently recognized the importance of this event relative to other concurrent events. The Times Enterprise's failure to also do so is an affront to our military.

“Government entitlement programs are just another form of slavery. The Democrats want it to appear they are helping people, but all they are doing is keeping them dependent upon the government.”
