Rant & Rave Nov. 4

“I am calling the editor out. I dare you to publish what is sent in even though you do not agree with it, without editing. This is America, and everybody is entitled to an opinion and a right to be heard. If this is not published, then the editor is dictating his own opinions instead of those of all people.”

“People use the word ‘unconstitutional’ so much it has lost its meaning. What, exactly, about the health care bill makes it unconstitutional? Are you a constitutional lawyer, or simply repeating Glenn Beck?”

“TCC fans need to show up big time for the Bainbridge game. Let’s show our support for these kids who have done more than anyone thought. These kids and the staff deserve our show of appreciation.”

“I think the ones calling for Bobby Bowden to go are not even FSU fans. Bobby is not playing defense. The players have to step up and do their jobs. Bobby should be allowed to stay as long as he wants. That is his house. How would you like to be kicked out of yours?”

“I am disappointed. Only one rave out of seven (Tuesday) postings. Look for your joys instead of your sorrows. You will be a happier person.”

“The protesters are creating a safety hazard on Jackson Street. One protester stepped out in front of my vehicle, forcing me to stop to keep from hitting him. Police should keep the protesters on the sidewalk and off the street.”

“If you remember, Nancy Pelosi tried to pass the original 1,000-page version of the health care without even letting our representative read it. People of all parties and races turned out in protest in the streets and town halls of this country in opposition to an out-of-control government. They stopped the thing cold, so the Congress went back in session — the result of which is 1,900 pages of rules and regulations. They doubled the thing. Does anyone believe that these politicians really know everything that is in it? Have they even compared the legality of it to the Constitution? They swore an oath on the Bible to do just that. Our military take their oaths seriously. Why don’t our politicians?”

“Who does the Times-Enterprise think it is? It needs to keep its endorsements to itself.”
