Rant & Rave Oct. 13

“The situation with the Cairo High School band director should be handled just like the Beta Club teachers were a few years ago.”

“I have talked to several folks who voted for Obama. They are confused on what he has done to warrant a Nobel Peace Prize.”

“I’d like to thank the people of Ochlocknee for the senior citizens supper Friday night. The civic center and the American Legion put it on. We had a wonderful time, and the food was good. Thanks for thinking about us old folks.”

“Georgia needs a new defensive coordinator. The quarterback at Tennessee has struggled all year, but against us he knocked down records. Who else did he do this against? Western Kentucky. Mark Richt, when are you going to wake up and get rid of this Martinez guy? Give me a break. We returned almost everybody on defense this year, but we’ve gotten worse.”

“This is for Bobby Bowden. I have a family reunion (on Sunday), but I am too embarrassed to go. I am going to stay in bed and hide my face. If he doesn’t go, I just don’t know what to do.”

“I want to thank the Rant and Rave staff for a wonderful column.”

“Don’t mow the grass on U.S. 19. It’s doing a wonderful job of hiding all the trash along the roadway.”
