Rant & Rave March 21
“Rep. Sanford Bishop knows sometimes you have to do what is right even though it is unpopular. That is why I will vote for him again.”
“I just wanted to thank the people at First Baptist Church who fixed the ramp for the Sadlers in Ochlocknee.”
“How do you like being lied to and misled again on Obamacare? Well, we now know that the CBO report was a scam. We have confirmation from an unlikely source, the New York Times — a very liberal newspaper. Democrats are desperate and are trying to create an illusion of momentum on their behalf. Our country is in dire straits. I’m not going to let anyone pull the wool over my eyes.”
“How can Democrats steal from the senior citizens who are on fixed incomes. They gave themselves a $10,000 raise and wouldn’t give me one.”
“I voted against Barack Obama because he was black. I have since learned that he is the most intelligent President we’ve ever had. We have also learned that he is considerate, thoughtful and civil.”
“This is for Patricia Gainey. I am neither naive nor stupid. The federal government does not give me anything. I pay Medicare and Social Security taxes. I also pay federal income taxes.”
“All residents of Thomasville should be reminded that dogs and cats are to be kept on the owners’ property or be on a leash when they are off the owners’ property. This is the law.”
“The streets of Thomasville are terrible. The condition is obscene. Who do I send my bill to for wheel alignment and shock absorber replacement?”
“How ironic it is that Mr. Bishop would talk about morals while supporting a bill that is full of nothing but bribes for votes and corrupt back-room deals with special interest groups and unions. Also, Jesus doesn't force his will on people, unlike the governmental mandate does.”
“We need every American to be outraged and we need to fire Sanford Bishop. It is time to stand up and be counted.”
“Thank you to Mark Lastinger and the Times-Enterprise for publishing Rep. Bishop's phone number. This enabled me to let him know of my position on the health care bill. Also, thank you to Rep. Bishop for voting in favor of health care reform.”
“Mr. Bishop, Jesus said, ‘When I was sick, you took care of me," He did not say, ‘I was sick and you stole from others and forced them to take care of me.”
“The newspaper showed very poor, biased news judgement when it put another story about the Freedom Line on the front page and put a story about the fact that President Obama’s reform plan is going to pass on page 4.”
“I would like to congratulate Bishop. He now ranks on the same level as Jimmy Carter.”
“According to AP, the final health care bill omits some of Obama's promises. A broken promise from Obama? I'm shocked! Broken: there's no block on insurance rate hikes; no panel to find fraud, waste and abuse; no cut back on bribes for votes, and it’s still loaded with backdoor corrupt special interest deals. The status quo — he lies.”
“There are doctors not accepting Medicare and Medicaid. The only time you care about it is when you are eligible to use it. Stop being selfish and look at what is good for the majority.”
“I’ve voted for Sanford Bishop in every election since 1990. Not anymore, though. I don’t care who runs against him.”
“Our government for the first time is forcing us to buy something? You must be stupid. What about car insurance or vaccinations before your kids can go to school? Those untrue scare tactics only work on people gullible enough to believe Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck. Oh,well, looks like your side is going to lose anyway.”
“I applaud Rep. Sanford Bishop for his support of the health care reform bill and he will have my vote in November.”
“I’m not a doctor, but I do read to inform myself. In the New England Journal of Medicine, it stated 43 percent of Primary doctors surveyed will stop seeing Medicare patients or close their practice all together if this health care debacle passes, is this going to happen locally?”
