Rant & Rave March 18

“Everyone who wants to see health care reform happen, bring your posters and stand with Ms. Lovejoy and Ms. Sewell on Friday from 12:15 p.m.– 1:15 p.m. If not now, when? If not us, who?”

“Mark’s article in Sunday’s paper was the best I’ve ever read.”

“I voted for SPLOST on the condition that they were going to improve Summerhill Road. I came down it today and the only improvement they’ve made is yellow lines. That’s ridiculous.”

“If John McCain was President, we wouldn’t have to protest this particular issue because he would not propose for the government to take over health care.”

“The county turns down a man who wants to have a bogging place on his farm. Now the youth can bog on county roads with the county’s permission.”

“Hooray for Lloyd Eckberg’s column. You hit the nail on the head. You’re a guiding light for our country.”

“I am a successful person because I work and plan and prepare. I don’t lay around wanting the government to take care of me.”

“Democrats need to understand that we didn’t like George Bush and John McCain. We are conservatives. The last conservative President we had was Ronald Reagan. We don’t like all Republicans. We like conservatives whether they are Democrat or Republican.”

“The county needs to stop putting top soil on top of clay and sand. The roads would be in much better shape.”
