Rant & Rave Feb. 4

“I thought Maggie Gallagher’s God preaches love and tolerance for all people, or is it just for whoever the Bible thumpers and their all-powerful preachers elect to receive it. I think God is not amused.”

“President Obama has done a great job with the country. I hope he continues to do a fine job for the American people.”

“We need to put more Democrats in the General Assembly and Washington, D.C., so this country can progress.”

“Mark and Randy, pretty bold stuff to predict the current political climate a year and a half ago. People are sick of both parties and ready for a change, and maybe the tea party can offer it. I sure hope so.”

“That was a great article in Wednesday’s paper, Randy Young. Again, we get ridiculed for helping countries. If we turned our backs on them just one time, people would realize how much we do to help the world. You can’t help people who won’t help themselves. A lot of people don’t like what you say because you print the facts, and the facts hurt.”

“Those people in Rant and Rave who support Obama must be on the government dole. Otherwise, they wouldn’t support him.”

“Positive news over the weekend about the national economy was followed by news that a local business is expanding and a statement from Don Sims that local unemployment is dropping. This is good news indeed and evidence that the Obama recovery plan is beginning to work!”
