Rant & Rave for July 30

THOMASVILLE — “I agree with the fact that $6 million is a crazy amount to spend on a wedding, but the Clintons must have the money and have worked hard their entire lives to spend it — not to mention that Chelsea is a working adult too. Let them have their cake.”

“What is going on around us? So much violence, murder, robberies, gang wars, missing children, so much crime is taking over that our police are overwhelmed. And then I see where our president chooses to go on “The View” rather than attend a Boy Scout event honoring 100 years. Maybe that tells us a lot right there.”

“OK Randy, let's say you win about the mosque.  In Randy Young World, what is the permittable distance away from Ground Zero for Muslims to be allowed to build a community center?  Does this apply to other religions?  Should Christians not be allowed to build churches near scenes of attrocities commited in Jesus' name?  And if no, why?  What's the difference?  Explain your philosophy.”

“I  used to think Randy Young had hate in his heart, but after the columns from the last two days, I now realize he's just painfully naive — easily swayed by street corner protests and the sound bytes of commercials.”
