Rant & Rave July 27

“I'll definitely be on the courthouse steps Sept. 11 at noon. We won't change this country for the better until we address the root of the problem — a crisis of belief! Let's join together to bring about a national revival, patriot prayer warriors!”

“There are many people who have had to get food stamps temporarily as a result of these hard times. Maybe the people you saw were working when they bought that Durango. Maybe they don't have a car and borrowed that one from someone. Try not to be so quick to judge.”

“It's not called gutter sniping. It's called the truth.”

“It’s appropriate that Bishop’s press secretary rescind the release sent through the wrong office/media. It’s significant that the facts of the press release were and still are completely true. Mike Keown should now rescind his inaccurate and malicious attacks against Bishop and at least try to explain the hypocritical difference between his present speech and his past actions.”

“Bravo, Lee Larko! I've long thought that taxpayers weren't getting the bang for the buck with Bishop as our representative, and the statistics prove it! He makes more than $170,000 a year and all he has to show for it is five bills! Bishop's been paid well over $2 million during his 17-plus years. It's time to fire this follower and hire a leader!”

“Leave Dixie-Chastain Road alone. It was dirt when you moved out here and you knew that. The county does scrape it. Many people don't want a racetrack between Lake Riverside and 188. If you want to live on a paved road, move to town."
