Services for Montine Collins Vickers, 82, of Whigham, Ga., are at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham, Ga. The Rev. Robert Crapps and the Rev. Johnny Burdick will officiate and interment is in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are deacons of Magnolia Baptist Church. Mrs. Vickers was born July 3, 1927, in Grady County, to the late Albert and Emily Gillespie Collins. On Nov. 1, 1943, she married Willard Vickers, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2002. Mrs. Vickers was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and a homemaker. She had worked with Whigham Banking Company and the Grady County Tag Department office with the late Tom Walker. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Derrick and Trudy Vickers of Whigham, Darwin and Marlin Vickers of Walden, N.Y.; sister, Doris C. Poppell of Whigham, Ga.; grandchildren, Michelle West of Cairo, Ga., Clifton Vickers of Whigham, Ga., Bryan Vickers of Ranger, Ga., Devona Pickles of Tallahassee, Fla., Jason Vickers of Albany, N.Y.; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.clarkfuneral.com. — Clark Funeral Home
