Edwin Earl Paris

Funeral services for Edwin Earl Paris, 62, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church.  Rev. Andrew Anderson, Pastor and officiating services with interment to follow at the Saint Paul Church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Charles Ryan, Michael Armster, Maceo McGriff, Samuel Russell, Brian Paris and Christopher Hill.  Mr. Paris was born on January 5, 1951 in Thomasville to the late Cleveland Paris, Sr. and Delphia Hopkins Paris Hill.  He was a graduate of Central High School and during his life he worked as an Independent Salesman.  Mr. Paris wed the former Ms. Lizzie Mae Moore and their union continued until the time of his passing.  He departed this life on Monday, February 25, 2013 at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.  Survivors to cherish his memory include his wife Lizzie Mae Moore Paris of Phoenix City, AL; mother Delphia Hopkins Paris Hill of Thomasville; son Brian Paris of Albany; daughters Lashai Jones and Toria Paris both of Austell, Carman Paris of Hollywood, FL and Shawanna Paris of Florida; brothers Cleveland Paris, Jr. and James Hill both of Thomasville, Odis James Hill, Jr. of New York, NY, Ernest Kelvin Hill of Las Vegas, NV, Leonard M. Hill of Atlanta, Bernard M. Hill of Fort Pierce, FL and Dexter Paris of Valdosta; sisters Betty Hill Shaw (Don) of Ochlocknee, Joan McGriff of Thomasville and Olivia Y. Pittman (Harry) of Ochlocknee; 12 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The remains will lie instate at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour with no viewing following the eulogy.  The family will receive friends after the services at the Saint Paul Church Annex.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 801 Magnolia St. at 12:30 p.m. for the processional. — Grooms Funeral Home
