Minister Leonard N. Threadcraft

THOMASVILLE —

Funeral Services for Minister Leonard N. Threadcraft will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Family and Friends Full Gospel Baptist Church, 400 Colton Avenue, Thomasville, GA. Rev. Ellis Fann Pastor and Rev. C. Dexter Thurmond, Eulogist.  As the Holy Spirit saw fit to ease the pain and suffering of Leonard Norvel Threadcraft on January 23, 2013.  He was born on January 21, 1973, in Sylvester, GA at Worth County Hospital.  Leonard was born to two loving parents Lenorris Threadcraft and Martha J. Adams. He was raised in Poulan, GA.  At an early age his family moved to Albany, GA where he attended the Dougherty County school system.  Leonard was a graduate of Turner Job Corps where he obtained his GED.  Leonard furthered his education at Albany Technical College where receive a skill certificate in aircraft assembly. Upon completion he worked at Ayres, Co until the company was closed.  Leonard then decided to change careers and unattended truck driving school, where he received his CDL.  Leonard drove trucks for a short period of time until a accident affected his driving abilities.  After the incident Leonard moved to Thomasville, GA where he met the love of his life Loretta Curry.  To this union one child was born.  Leonard and Loretta founded and established Tender Loving Care Day Center.  At an early age, Leonard joined Crawford Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Dawson, GA and he was baptized by he’s grandfather the late Rev. G.J. Jones. Leonard rededicated his life back to Christ in 2000. After rededicating his life back to Christ, Leonard helped establish Liberty Full Gospel Worship Center where he was later called to preach the gospel.  In May 2004 Leonard was licensed to preach the gospel.  Leonard was ordained in April 2006. He attended Vision International College Australia and Master’s Commission Institute, both in which he received a degree in ministry. In February 2009 he was appointed to pastor of Liberty Full Gospel Worship Center. Leonard was a faithful servant of God and did whatever it took for the ministry to thrive until his departure.  Leonard was preceded in death by his grandparents Harvey / Louise Threadcraft, Rev. G.J. & Dorothy Jones, and step-father Warriel Adams, Sr.  Leonard leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother Martha Adams (Thomasville, GA) and father and step-mother Lenorris and Barbara Threadcraft (Albany, GA).  Three loving children Destiny Threadcraft, Demario Hudson, Vanesia Brown,  one grandson Jadolyn Hudson, eight sisters and three brothers; Charles Bradford, Sr. and Jeneifer Threadcraft (Lithonia, GA), Angie Bowman,  Valinda Threadcraft and Veronica White (Philadelphia, Penn.), Tina Brock  and Shanlanda Curenton (Rochester, NY), Lenorris Threadcraft, Jr. (Columbus, GA), Tyree Threadcraft (Atlanta, GA), Meagan Threadcraft and Eric Harris (Albany, GA), one step-sister Jasmine (Ricardo) Scott.  One loving aunt Grace Thurmond (Sylvester, GA) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Public will be today from 12pm to 6pm and wake from 6pm to 8pm. Line up for family and friends will be at 1106 S. Pinetree Blvd at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. — Hopkins Mortuary
