Gloria Deloris Ross-Frazier

— Funeral Services for Gloria Deloris Ross Frazier will be today 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church , Boston GA. Pastor Norman Clary, Eulogist and Presiding. Sunrise: August 9, 1947; Sunset:  January 4, 2013.  “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.”  Proverbs 3:5-6.  On August 9, 1947, God blessed His earth with Gloria Deloris Ross-Frazier to Willie James Ross Sr. and Ida Mae Massey-Ross.  Gloria was the second child born to this union.  She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and remained steadfast in her faith until her death on January 4, 2013. In her early years, Gloria attended New Union School and Magnolia High School.  She furthered her education at Thomas Technical School now known as Southwest Georgia Technical College.  Gloria was employed at Southwestern State Hospital as a Health Service Technician until her health declined. Throughout her life she enjoyed singing and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Senior Choir and the Ross-Mitchell Family Reunion Choir.  Gloria had a sweet spirit that touched everyone she encountered.  She loved sports of all kind, but especially enjoyed the Miami Heat basketball team. Gloria was a loving Daughter, Mother, Sister and Grandmother whose memories will be cherished by her parents Willie James Ross Sr. and Ida Mae Ross.  Children:  Darren Frazier (Gin), Tampa FL, William Alfred Frazier, Jr, Boston, GA and Samantha Frazier-Brown (Jason), Thomasville GA. She was preceded in death by one sister Everlena Ross-Joyner.  Sisters: Mary Jane Glass (Bob), Irene Howard (Eric), Boston, GA, Johnnie Mae Stockton (Willie), Melbourne FL and Sandra Johnson (Carl), Thomasville, GA. Brothers:  Willie James Ross Jr, Boston GA, Dr. Fred H. Ross (Iris), Tallahassee FL, Charlie Ross, Boston GA, Joseph Ross, Tallahassee FL and David Ross, Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Grandchildren:  Tawanna Frazier-Lewis (Benny), Orlando FL, Kai Frazier, Jason Brown Jr., Thomasville GA and Keiara Rodgers, Tampa FL.  A special aunt, Mattie Mitchell, Boston ,GA, a special friend Eva Frazier, Boston, GA  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.”  Family and friends will meet at 538 Johnson Street, Boston GA for line up at 10 a.m. Saturday January 12, 2012. — Hopkins Mortuary
