Louise Willis Brooks



Services for Louise Willis Brooks, 82, of Meigs, are 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel in Pelham. Rev. Olen Cain will officiate and interment will be held in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Pelham. She died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Brooks was born March 24, 1928, in Mitchell County to parents, the late Sailor Walker and Leila Mae Shores Willis. She married Marvin Brooks. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Pelham Senior Citizens Center and Pelham Country Jamboree. Mrs. Brooks was a retired seamstress for Warners. Survivors include daughter, Carol Meehan of French Lick, Ind.; sons, Tommy Glover of Spring Creek, Fla., and Greg Glover of Cairo; stepson, Tim Brooks of Meigs; brother, Bill Willis of Meigs; sister, Pearl Hubbard of New Port, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and, eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Dianne Miller, sister Betty Barnes and her parents. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
