Josie Eldora Fields

THOMASVILLE — Services for Josie Eldora Fields, 93, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Beulah Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Dixie, Ga.. Pastor Alonza A. Fudge will officiate and interment is in Barwick Cemetery in Barwick. Mrs. Fields died Aug. 27,  at her residence. Born March 2, 1917, in Brooks County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Henry and Missouri Reddick. Mrs. Fields gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Beulah Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a dedicated housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Fields was married to the late Oscar Fields Sr. and to this union six children were born. Two preceded her in death, Oscar Fields Jr. and Josh Herbert Fields.  She leaves her strong legacy and loving memories to be cherished by her children, Horace (Lise) Fields of Quebec, Canada, Donald Fields, Diane (Ronald) Horne of Barwick, Janice (Edward) Brooks of Boston; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Willie Mae Leonard of Valdosta; adopted daughter, Rosie Lee McCloud; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
