Ada Louise Vick

THOMASVILLE —

Services for Ada Louise Vick, 89, of Pavo are at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Salem Baptist Church. Pastor Wayne Goff and Rev. Sherman Hall will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Vick died Feb. 23, 2013, at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born July 28, 1923, in Ben Hill County, she was the daughter of the late J. Frank and Jessie Meadows Wiley, Sr. She was married to Irvin Vick who preceded her in death. Mrs. Vick was a member of Salem Baptist Church and retired from Roses Dept. Store, where she managed the candy counter. She was just as sweet as the candy she sold. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randall L. and Tonda Vick, of Pavo; grandchildren, Michael Anthony Vick, Lisa Lee Jessie (Adam); three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Davis, of Thomasville; brother and sister-in-law, John Frank Wiley, Jr. and Mozelle of Boston; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Laverne Vick; and sister, Gussie Leaphart. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
