Ada Carolyn Taylor Hayes, 88, of Albany, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence in Albany. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27 at Hopeful Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Ronald Barrett and Keith Hayes will officiate. Pallbearers include Michael Conley, Jason Glausier, Brian Conley, Sean Mercer, Chandler Spriggle, Kevin Davis, Jason Littleton, Corey Lee and Bryant Mayo. Born September 24, 1923 in Mitchell County, Ms. Hayes was the daughter of the late James Albert and Ada Margaret McKown Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopeful Baptist Church. Ms. Hayes was preceded in death by her former husband, Claude Lee Hayes, Sr.; three sons, James Earl Hayes, Claude Laverne Hayes, and Carl Ervin Hayes; and a daughter, Barbara Conley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, James Floyd Taylor, John Everett Taylor, Lucy Elizabeth Thornton, Benny Cleveland Taylor, Lula Pearl Thornton, Luna Merle Singleton, Eddie Robert Taylor, Edna Ruth Sharp, and Albert Taylor. Survivors include eight children, Jeanette Hannon & husband, Miles, of Panama City Beach, FL, Janice Glausier & husband, Jimmy, of Albany, Millie Eyler of Cordele, Claude “Buddy” Lee Hayes, Jr. & wife, Linda, of Lawrenceville, Darrell Hayes & wife, Suzie of Nashville, TN, Margaret Holden & husband, Bob, of Whigham, Keith Hayes & wife, Yvonne, of Moultrie, Sheree Spriggle & husband, Mark, of Leesburg; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
