Lynn Murphy Inman

Lynne Murphy Inman passed away on Nov. 21, 2009, at Camellia Gardens Nursing Home in Thomasville. She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Springfield, Tenn., to Claude and Lee Benton Murphy, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to the late Ben S. Inman Jr. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She was an avid reader and animal lover. She was recognized for her extensive knowledge of bird-watching, particularly orioles. Survivors are sons, Mac Edwards, Nashville, Tenn., Ben S. Inman III (Martha) of Tallahassee, Fla., David L. Inman of Thomasville, William M. Inman (Carla), also of Thomasville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Megan Inman Saunders (Danny), Ben Inman IV (Amanda), Lawson Inman, Stacey Inman, Julie Inman, William Inman; and great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Saunders. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 207 Friar Tuck Lane, Thomasville. There will be a family graveside service. Memorials may be made to the Thomas County Public Library, 201 N. Madison St. Thomasville, Ga. 31792 or to Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1076, Thomasville, Ga. 31757.
